Choose one useful job
Start with a repeated task: answering opening-hour questions, explaining services or collecting booking interest. A narrow, useful role is easier to evaluate than an assistant expected to do everything.
Prepare reliable information
Collect the information your team already uses to answer customers. Decide who keeps it current and what the assistant should do when an answer is missing. Avoid asking it to guess prices, policies or availability.
Keep a person in the loop
Plan a clear handoff for complex requests and situations that need judgement. Tell customers when they are speaking to an automated assistant and give them a route to your team.
Test real situations
Try common questions, incomplete requests and questions the assistant cannot answer. Review the responses with the people who know your business, then improve the information and handoff process.
